The Lake Club

The Lake Club, located on beautiful Lake Evans in Poland, Ohio is one the areas finest private golf clubs. Under the direction and transformation of the owner, Ed Muransky, the club has grown continually in size, membership and popularity.

For the 2013 golf season, Ed decided to expand the popular outdoor Halfway House Bar into an under-roof all-season area complete with a fireplace, TVs, an expanded bar, and full casual dining. For the stone main wall, Ed hired me to design and create a large art feature to include The Lake Club logo and name.

The simple yet impactful design incorporated a striking 4’x8′ piece of black iron steel streaked with copper, red, gold, and torch-like blue patinas contrasted against a massive 6’x8′ piece of solid black galaxy granite. The steel shapes and cast Bronze letterforms made a beautiful and tasteful statement in what was yet another area of enjoyment at the fun and wonderful Lake Club.
